For the 1 out of 5 local children eligible for free and reduced-priced meals in Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties, the end of the school year means the end of the filing meals they need to thrive. By hosting a Share Your Lunch Food and Fund Drive, you will help prevent hunger for thousands of children whose families are worried about not having enough to eat this summer.
To meet the increased need in our community, Second Harvest's Share Your Lunch campaign aims to raise $1 million and a collect 100,000 pounds of kid-friendly food between May 1st and July 31st. With your help, nearly 100,000 children in both Santa Clara and San Mateo County will receive healthy, nutritious food from the Food Bank each month.
