Mark Chandler is currently a fellow at the Deborah L. Rhode Center on the Legal Profession at Stanford Law School where he co-leads the Filing Fairness Project. Prior to that, he served as Chief Legal Officer and Chief Compliance Officer at Cisco Systems from 2001 to 2021, roles in which he oversaw Cisco’s global legal activities and policies, as well as the ethics, regulatory compliance and brand protection departments.

Mark is a member of the Dean’s Advisory Council for Stanford Law School. He is on the Board of Trustees for Belmont Hill School in Belmont, Mass., and the Board of Directors of Paladin PBC. He previously served on the Silicon Valley Law Foundation Board, as member and Chair of the City of Palo Alto Planning Commission, and the Palo Alto Utilities Advisory Commission.

Mark received a Juris Doctor degree from Stanford Law School in 1981 and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Harvard College in 1978.

Mark joined the Second Harvest Board in 2018 because he believes food insecurity is a solvable problem and Second Harvest of Silicon Valley brings together the vision, resources, know-how and execution to ensure that everyone can get healthy food.
