Patricia Legaspi
Senior Director of Engineering, Google
Patricia Legaspi is a Senior Director of Engineering at Google where she has worked for almost 20 years and has led Engineering Productivity across a variety of projects and teams, including Toolbar, Search and Geo. She currently leads the Android Engineering Productivity team where she enables more scalable solutions for Android development and testing. Patricia earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Mills College in Oakland and contributed to research in computational reliability at the University of California, Berkeley.
Born and raised in the East Bay to value education and service to her community, Patricia is the daughter of Mexican immigrants and identifies as Mexican American. She has contributed to efforts relating to education and community support via TechBridge and Oakland Dollars for Scholars. She is now the mother of two teenage girls and has instilled similar values in her daughters. Her father particularly encouraged Patricia to help people get the basic necessities they need like food. Her family regularly volunteers in their community, including at Glide Memorial where they help in the kitchen. Patricia joined the Second Harvest Board in 2022.
