Cathy Godfrey

Cathy, a passionate advocate for humans and animals alike, joined the Second Harvest Team in 2023. Originating from Cleveland, she transitioned from animal welfare to food banking in 2019 at the Greater Cleveland Food Bank, where she helped raise funds for their large expansion project. Relocating to California in 2022, she now proudly works to improve the lives of our Santa Clara and San Mateo neighbors. Dedicated to serving the most at-risk in our society, the Martin Luther King, Jr. quote: “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?'” is one she often repeats, and guides much of what she does. When she is not working, Cathy enjoys spending time with her husband and two rescue dachshunds and donates time to a variety of causes.
